NAVAL TRAWLERS LOST
Bombed During Trondheim
Evacuation
London; May 8.
The Admiralty announces that six naval trawlers were lost in the Trondheim evacuation, namely, the Warwickshire (460 tons), Cape Chelyuskin (494 tons), Jardine (452 tons), .Saint Goran (565 tons), Gaul (531 tons), and Aston Villa (546 tons).
Two sank after being attacked from the air, and four were so damaged by air attack that: it was not thought advisable for them to attempt the North Sea crossing, and were sunk by our forces. The casualties were slight.
