PAHAUTEA WOMEN'S DIVISION
The annual meting of the Pahautea branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union was held recently, Mrs. Ross presiding over tr good attendance of members.
The annual report was presented by Mrs. Ross, who thanked members for their co-operation during the year. .She reported that members had taken up work under the Red Cross, and had already male ar number of articles,
The points prize for the flower competition was won by Mrs. Corlett, who received a crystal vase, the gift of Mrs. Ross. .
The election of officers resulted: President, Mrs. Ross ; vice-presidents, Mesdames Connell, Cade, Farquar and Sadler; secretary, Mrs. Ness; delegate to council, Mrs. Grant; advisory members, Mrs. Grant and Mrs. McKay; librarian, Mrs. Grant; auditor, Mr. H. Mortenson (Carterton).
Miss E. L. ■Plimmer, Roxburgh Street, 'Wellington, and Mrs. Merle Fisher, Lyall Bay Parade, have left on a holiday visit to Australia. They expect to be absent from Wellington for a month. Mrs. Fisher’s father, formerly a well-known Wellington yachtsman, has been a resident of Sydney for some years.
