JOINT CONTROL

Allied Collaboration In War Effort FULL ORGANIZATION (British Official Wireless.) (Received May 8, 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY, May 7. In an answer in the House of Commons today, Mr. Chamberlain described the development in the intcr-Allied organization established to facilitate co-operation in the various fields of the Allied war effort. Reminding the House of the existence of a comprehensive organization for ensuring close Anglo-French cooperation in the economic war effort of the two countries, Mr. Chamberlain said: “The Anglo-French co-ordinating committee which forms the nucleus of this organization has a permanent Allied chairman and a joint AngloFrench secretariat. Eight AngloFrench permanent executive committees which function under the general guidance of the Anglo-French co-ordi-nating committee similarly have joint secretarial arrangements. “On the military side collaboration with the French High Command is maintained by means of an Allied military committee sitting permanently in London and consisting of senior officers of the three fighting services of the two countries, whose duty it is to examine military problems from the Allied point of view and submit their recommendations to their respective chiefs of staff.”
