Seatoun v. Swifts, Basin Reserve, No. 1, 2.45 p.m. Waterside v. Institute Old Boys, Busin Reserve No. 2, 2.45 p.m. Marist v. Technical Ohl Boys, Kelburn Park, 2.45 p.m. Hospital v. Petone, at Porirua, 2.30 p.m. First B Division, 2.45 p.m. Moera Stop Out v. Stop Out, Randwick School. », • . Miramar Rangers v. Onslow, ISairnville. , , Training College v. Nada, Anderson Park No. 1. ~ Diamond v. Lower Hutt, Hutt Recreation Ground.
It was decided to close all transfers on May 31. The following transfers were approved :—A. Blair, from Lower Hutt to Swifts; L. Heath, from Swifts to Diamond; W. H. Ward, from Onslow to Lower Hutt; D. Flett, from Waterside to Institute Old Boys; W. Tweedie, from Hospital to Onslow; V. Darragh, from Marist to Diamond; 1 and V. Dimery, from Technical Old Boys to Seatoun. A report was received that in the, first B division match Onslow and Training College, Onslow had played an unregistered player. It was decided to award the game to Training College. A letter was received from the Wellington Referees’ Association deploring the use of the word “Soccer” in a management committee circular when “Association” was the name of the code. The W.F.A., it was considered, was lowering the prestige of the Association football game in New Zealand by the use of the word “Soccer.” Members said that the term “Soccer had been used in New Zealand for more than 30 years. Many people would be misled if Association only were used.
