DUNEDIN, May 7.
An offering of 58 tons at today’s rabbitskin sale met, a market in the throes of adjusting itself to the newly-fixed sterlingdollar exchange rate on the oue hand and to the large proportion of heavily spotted pelts offered for sale on the other. Itesulting irregularity in competition revealed a drop of Id. to 6d. in lower grade hatters, Id. on heavily spotted autumn grades, but a rise in clean pelted lots for the overseas furrier trade. New grades of winter skins met with a very good demand, 86d. being paid for early winter bucks and 90(1. for first bucks. Following the the official range of prices:—Small, 17Jd. to a lb.; runners. 31d. to 32Jd.; light racks, 41d. to 42^d.; prime racks, 33d. to 34Jd.; summer bucks, 243 d. to 25-}d.; summer does, 25d. to 25-Jd.; dawny autumns, 36d. to 40d.; first early autumns, 47d. to 50d.; first late autumns,_6ld. to 66d.; first incomings, 69d. to 75d.; second incomings, 63d. to 67d.; first early winter bucks, BOd. to 86d.; first early winter does 53Jd. to 5Sd.; first winter bucks, BSd. to 90d.; first milky, 29.}d. to 301 d.; milky, 24d. to 25Jd.: summer broken, 24}d.; to 25Jd.; autumn broken, 2Sid. to 32^d.; winter broken, 33jd. to 40d.; summer fawns, 30d. to 313 d.; ruitiuhnjawns, 39Jd. to 40d.; summer black, 27Jd. to 29d.; autumn black, 3Sd. to 40d.; winter black, 461 d. to 47jd.; first hareskins, 22d. to 23d.; hareskins, 17d. to 18d.; horsehair, 20d. to SOfd.; first ferrets, 3/to 6/11.
