Ptikekohe cabbages are coining forward in good supply, 'but are meeting a lai rly ■ready demand, and prices tend to harden on the 'low level of prices reached last week, the Drumhead variety today bringing 3/9 a chapnuii) bag, which is a rise of 3d. since last Monday. Ten big lots remain at 3/6 a bag. and Savoy cabbages at 4/9. . A few bags of cauliflower are now going away. They are selling at 10/6 a bag. ... Trade in Pukekobe onions is becoming fairly settled at £l2 a ton, which has now been the ruling price for the past fortnight. Carrots, swedes and beetroot remain at -1/- a sugar bag, while parsnips are at 5/6 and 5/9, the latter price representing a rise of 3d. since last Monday. Citron melons have hardened in value from 7/- a owt. to 8/6 in the period. Red Warren pumpkins remain at 4/- a cwt., and grey pumpkins were selling today at 8/2 and 8/6, flic former figure representing a drop of 3d. since last Monday. Good table potatoes continue to bring £7 a ton ; seed potatoes 9/- to.ll/6 .per cwt., and cabbage plants 10/6 a thousand in bundles of 25. Business is being transacted in long-keeper onion seed at 16/- per lb. Some local ©rowers sowed onion seed last month, and some good strikes are to be seen round Pukekohe Hills, the seedling onions being well above ground and fairly thick in the rows.
