gir,—Permit me to point out to your correspondents, A. W. Nesbitt and R. H. Nimmo, that a very democratic secretary in a democratic country bad no alternative but to carry out the instructions of a very representative meeting of his union. After full discussion ot a circular letter addressed to employers by patriotic societies suggesting various methods of obtaining their employees support, a motion was put to the meeting that a letter be sept to membeis explaining the union’s views and it was carried unanimously.—l am, etc., SECONDER OF THE MOTION.
