OBITUARY

Mr. P. H. Wood The death occurred on (Saturday in Marton of Mr. Percy Halswell Wood, a well-known and highly-respected resident of tlie town, aged 65 years. .Mr. Wood was a member of a well-known North Canterbury family, and was himself among die first settlers on the Cheviot estate. In later years lie bad been associated with the land and estate agency business iu Marton. He was a brother of Mr. Robert Wood, Melbourne, formerly general manager for Kempthorne, Prosser aud Co., and for many years a respected resident of Wellington, and Mr. Cecil Wood, the well-known Cbristchurcli architect.

-Mr. Wood'loaves a widow and three daughters, .Misses Helen. Margaret, _and Tui Wood, and one son. Mr. John Wood, a Hawke’s Bay farmer.
