Westland. ami Canterbury Lime Workers’ Award which was issued by the Court of Arid'l rat ion on Saturday. The questions which were referred to Ute Court and were settled by it related to hours of wor);, wages, overtime, shift work, holidays, termination of employment, siceommodatiou. provision of aprons, and the term of the award. The award comes into force today ami will remain in force till May 6, 19H. For workers employed on work incidental to or connected witli the manufacture of burnt lime the ordinary hours of work are fixed at 44. a week ami for workers employed on work incidental '<> or connected with the manufacture of carbonate of lime or of .shell lime during the busy six months of the year the hours are to be 44 a week and during the remaining six months 40 a week.
