Ministerial. The Hon. P. Fraser, Prime Minister, will leave Wellington for Auckland tomorrow night. Mr. A. R. Gilligan, headmaster of Wanganui Collegiate School, is visiting Auckland. Mr James Begg, a member of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, left Wellington last night by the steamer express for the South Island. The Rev. Father G. Cheesman, S.M., Marist Mission House, Island Bay, left Wellington last night by the steamer express for the south. Lieutenant-Colonel A. G. Hultquist, M.P., was a passenger for the south by the steamer express from Wellington last night. Mr. W. R. Brinsley, Dunedin, managing-director of Radiation Limited, returned south by airliner from Wellington yesterday. Lieutenant-Colonel E. A. Ash was a passenger for Wellington by the steamer express from the south yesterday morning. Mr. John Farrell has arrived at Wellington from Auckland to make arrangements for the return season of the “Switzerland” ice ballet. Mr. H. D. Acland, Christchurch, president of the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Federation, returned south by the steamer express last night. Mr. W. J. Stevens, accountant of the Wellington Gas Company, who ha» been seriously ill in a private hospita, in Rotorua, is now reported to be making a satisfactory recovery. 'Mr. W. Machin, Wellington, advertising manager of the Vacuum Oil Company Pty., Ltd., left for the south by the steamer express from Wellington last night.
Lieutenant 11. B. Lange, New Zealand Medical Corps, has been posted to the 24th (Auckland) Battalion, Third Echelon, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, as medical officer. Mr. T. S. Critchley, who has been visiting Wellington, returned to Blenheim by air yesterday afternoon. Ho was accompanied by Mrs. Critchley and Miss 31. Critchley.
Mr. W. W. Mulholland, Canterbury, Dominion president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, arrived at Wellington by the steamer express yesterday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Mulholland.
Mr. G. S. Reid, district traffic manager of railways, Auckland, and 3lr. W. r Butcher, locomotive engineer, arrived at Wellington by the first express from Auckland yesterday on depart-, mental business.
