Yesterday’s Reports Wellington.—Fine, sunny and warm, with a light northerly wind. The minimum temperature on Thursday night was 47.2 degrees, and the maximum yesterday 63.9 degrees. At 6 p.m. yesterday the temperature was 56.6 degrees, and the barometer reading 1018.6 millibars. Palmerston North. —After a light frost the day was warm and sunny with clear skies and an absence of wind. Wanganui.—Fine and clear, with a light northerly wind. Sea, a slight swell. Barometer, 1020 millibars. New Plymouth.—Fair to fine and calm. Barometer at 5 p.m., 1016 millibars. Masterton.—A frost of 1.7 degrees was followed by a fine, warm day with bright sunshine and cloudless skies. There was a light westerly breeze, and temperatures were higher than they have been for many weeks. Hastings.—Fine, with a north-east wind. Waiptikurau.—A bright sunny day, with mild temperatures, the maximum being 66 degrees. The glass fell slightly, the reading at 8 p.m. being 1021 millibars. Auckland. —Dull but fine, with a moderate north-east wind. Barometric pressure fell slightly, the 5 p.m. reading being 1020 millibars. Dunedin.—The sun shone during the morning and conditions were mild, though a little cooler than recently. The sky was overcast in the afternoon and there was a light breeze from the north-east, which brought mists to the hills round the city. Maximum temperature, 58 degrees. The barometer fell sharply to 1011 millibars. Christchurch.—Cloudy but mild all day, with a moderate east-north-east wind. Maximum temperature, 57.7 degrees. Barometer at 7 p.m., 1Q14.2 millibars, falling slightly.
