ART IN NEW ZEALAND
“Art in New Zealand,” March, 19-10 (Wellington: Tombs.) The latest issue of “Art In New Zealand” i.s primarily a memorial to that fine artist, the late Mrs. M. E. R. Tripe. There is a short appreciation of her work, and examples of her painting are reproduced in four colourplates and a number of black and white illustrations. Other articles are of unusual interest. There are studies of the art of Elsie M. White, A. 11. McLintock and Max Walker, a particularly charming poem by Robin Hyde and poems also by Helen Brookfield and Ethel Perry, the first instalment of an article on art appreciation by Gordon Tovey and notes on sculpture by R.
