Attempts To Destroy Liners SABOTEURS ACTIVE By Telegraph—Press Assu.—Copyright. . TORONTO, May 1. Fire-Marshal W. J. Scott said that German saboteurs were active in Ontario and were operating in conjunction with German Consuls in the United States. There had been three arrests. Instances of attempted sabotage, from which the damage was trifling, were mainly damage to property and machinery. For example, small screws had been dropped into machinery and transformers had been damaged. He added that there had been two unsuccessful attempts to destroy liners leaving Canadian ports.
