Ministerial. The Hon H. G. R. Mason, AttorneyGeneral, left Wellington for Auckland by the Limited express last night. He will return to Wellington tomorrow. Sir Francis Frazer and Mr. G. A. Duncan have been reappointed members of the Executive Commission of Agriculture. Sir Francis has also been reappointed deputy-chairman of the commission. Mr. D. McCaskill, 8.A., has been appointed a member of the Music Teachers’ Registration Board. Dr. C. E. Beeby, Director of Education, has been appointed a member of the Teachers’ Superannuation Board. Mr. P. N. Jeffery returned to Christchurch by last night’s steamer express after a brief visit to Wellington. Captain S. Holm returned to Wellington from the South Island by the steamer express yesterday. The Hon. Mr. Justice Johnston left Wellington for Auckland last night by the Limited express. The Hon. F. Waite, M.L.C., was a passenger for the south from Wellington last night by the steamer express. iMr. T. Somerville travelled south by the steamer express from Wellington last night. Captain S. E. A. Gregory, marine .superintendent of the Port Line, left Wellington for the north last night by the Limited express. Mr. L. J. Berry, secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association, returned to Wellington from the South Island by yesterday’s steamer express.

Colonel I. T. Standish, C.M.G., D. 5.0., retired list, has been reappointed to the active list and attached to the Adjutant-General’s branch, Army Headquarters.

Mr 11. Roche, who has been senior forest ranger in the State Forestry Department at Ilanmer Springs, arrived at Wellington yesterday on his way to Rotorua, where he will occupy the same position. His place at Ilanmer Springs has been taken by Mr. J. Watt,
