BELFRANCES PLAYERS GIVE PLAY READING

Recently the Belfrances Players gave their second reading of the 19-10 season, the play chosen being “Barnet’s Folly.” The large audience were delighted at the excellent reading of members. Miss Lois Mair and Mr. Percy Cousins took humorous parts and caused much laughter. Others taking part were: Misses Jean Rennie, Gwen Luff, Ngalre Fisher, Mary McGavin, and Messrs. F. Hayward. Hugh Janson, Gordon Croskery and Sydney Blank.

McKenzie’s Staff Dance. A delightful dance, organized by McKenzie's. Ltd., Petone, took place in Lower Hutt, recently. There was a large attendance of members of the staff and their friends, and it very cheery atmosphere prevailed. Members of the basketball club, who were responsible for the evening, were as follows: Misses C. Silbery, V. Barry, N. Garnett, G. Harmer, J. Brader and P. itiddler, and Mr. A. Macfarlane.
