ANNUAL MEETING

Porirua Plunket Society

The annual meeting of the Porirua sub-branch of the Coastal Towns Branch of the Blanket Society, was held recently in the Porirua Oddifellows’ Hall. A representative gathering of mothers and friends was welcomed by the president. A review of ihe year's activities showed the position of the branch to be most. satisfactory. Mrs. Gray, president of the Coastal Towns Branch, was in the chair tor the election of officers, which resulted as follows: —President, Mrs. Juill; vice-presidents, Mesidames Bothamley, Windley, Ryan, Little, Matron Kelly, Sister Grey. Misses Fiirnne, Ryan, and Finlayson, Mr. Bothamley; secretarytreasurer, Mrs. Hook; committee, Mesd'ames Little, Ryan. Finlay. Hughes, Windley, Hassall, ’Whitehouse. Miss Samson, charge nurse, I’lunket Rooms. Wellington, gave an interesting talk on "’What the Blanket Nurse sees on her daily found.” Miss Stockwell gave two souqs’, accompanied by Mrs. Ryan. Miss Samson was presented with a bouquet by Joan Renner, and each of the committee received a shoulder spray. Mrs. Gray. Mr. Reardon, and'others who bad assisted during the year were thanked by Mrs. Juill.
