HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 1. Inter-provincial hockey matches for the New Zealand Championship Shield and the Nordon Cup will not be played this season, according to a decision reached at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association. The association decided also to express its wish that all other competition matches should be held. The election of principal officers resulted as follows: —Patron, the Gov-ernor-General; president, Mr. H. S. J. Goodman; secretary, Mr. W. H. Down; management committee. Messrs. R. Gracie, H. Thorp, C. S. Bellamy, A. Stonyer, C. 6. Holland, K. Hamilton, and W. Williamson.
