A half-brother to Malagigi, by Tea T’ray, Tea Drop is a promising three-year-old, who should not remain long in novice ranks. Hum-a-Song (Winder) aud Vitemeiiu (Hain) traversed a similar distance tn 50. Though she has not raced for several mouths, Hum-a-Soug bears a bright apZest (Kilgour) defeated laiho (bargeant) by a couple of lengths at the conclusion of half a mile in 50. l-o. lailio hung out most of the way,, and he has lightened up a good deal since winning at Feliding. , . , Endorsement (Berry) dashed oyer a couple of furlongs in 25 on the inside grass. For Second Day Only. New Plymouth reports state that R. Barlow’s team will not be racing on the first day at Hawera, but Ripiple, Flying Vixen, and Rollicker will be there for Saturday. Wave Length, who was slightly injured at Waverley. is to be given a short spell.
Density May Go to Sydney. There will be no suitable races, for Density near at home till the spring, and it is possible that before she competes again in the Dominion, a trip to Sydney will be undertaken. The subject is now under consideration, and if it is decided on D. E. Cotton will take her to Australia in July. This arrangement would enable her to race up to the end of the Australian Jockey Club's spring meeting, after which she could return home in time for Trentham late in October, followed by the Hiecarton carnival in Noveimber. There seems no reason, in view of her success'over seven furlongs in the Great Easter Handicap, why Density will not run a good mile next season.
