Recruits For Medical Corps The call made .for men to enlist for military service at home ami abroad lias resulted ■ in a considerable number of St, John Ambulance Brigade members joining the forces. I’rel'erenve is given to Sit. John men in the selection of recruits for the New Zealand Medical Corps, where their training is of special value. Up to the end of hist year (he enlistments from the brigade into various branches of the army were as follows: — Auckland 12, Wellington IS, Wanganui 11, Canlenbury 15. Otago 5, Southland 6. Total. 67. Members tire now cu listing at a much higher rate. Members who enlist are retained on the rolls of their respective divisions of the brigade. In order to replace men, wlm depart, it will be necessary for the, brigade to undertake recruiting from among men who are over military age. There are many ex-nnennbers whose ser-
vices it may bo possible Io secure temporarily. The building up of cadet ambulanee divisions is aiso of import a m-e. as it may be necessary lo cull upon the senior boys to carry out some of the duties which have hitherto been undertaken by adults.
