OLD GIRLS' SOCIAL SERVICE CLUBS

Tlie Wellington College Old Girls’ Social Service Club met recently at St. Peter’s Church Hall, the president, Mrs. W. O. Urquhart, presiding over a very good attendance. The speaker was Dr. Hilda Heine, who related some of her experiences on her voyage to England. Dr. Heine left New Zealand last October at the beginning of Hie war. The blackouts in England presented many difficulties, nevertheless it was surprising how quickly one became accustomed to" moving about Hie city and country roads. Dr. Heine expressed admiration for Hie way Hie people were facing up to the war efforts, specially Hie women, who were working very hard for the welfare of Hie evacuated children.
