A Maori fighting weapon, probably of considerable age, has been found on the edge of a swamp on the property of Mr. G. McGrevy, Ometangi, Waiheke. About 4ft. long, with a portion of the handle broken off, the weapon is made either of heart of puriri or rata and is excellently preserved. It is 2in. wide and Jin. thick, an'd finished with a smooth surface and rounded edges.
