AWATEA DELAYED
Due At Wellington This Afternoon The Union Steam Ship Company yesterday received a further wireless message from its liner Awatea, en route from Sydney to Wellington, reporting that she was still meeting very heavy weather and could not arrive off Point Halswell before 1.30 p.m. today. Captain Davey stated that be would radio a more definite time of arrival this morning. The Awatea will berth shortly after her arrival at. No. 1 south Queen’s "Wharf. She has 307 passengers and brings English ami Australian mails. The liner is to leave Wellington tonight on the return trip to Sydney.
