Present spot quotations are: —Mutton: Fine, 24/6 to 25/-; good, 21/- to 21/6; fair, 16/6 to 17/-. Beef: Fine, 20/6 to 21/-; good, 18/-; fair, .16/- to 16/6. Mixed: Good. 18/-; fair, 16/- to 16/6; gut, 13/6 to 15/6. Mutton : Dark to dull, 14/6 to 16/6. Beef: Dark to dull, 13/6 to 15/6. Hem]'.—Manila: Market quiet but firm; Mareli/May shipment, £l7/5/-. Sisal: Market quiet but steady. July/ September shipment sold £.16/12/6 to £l6 15/-. New Zealand: Nothing to report.
