After lengthy discussion a Melbourne woolhouse lias increased the price for woolpacks for the coming year by 9d. a pack, this rise reflecting the increase in the Calcutta market, for these goods. Tlie prices of all jute goods iu India have been rising steadily, and now that the mills in that country have reached an agreement regarding working hours the jute trade opinion ;n Alelbourne is that the strong position may be sustained.
