SPECIAL SERVICES FOR YOUTH SUNDAY
A service of song, depicting the Gospel of Christ, was presented in music, bong and passages of Scripture in the Lower Hutt Methodist Church yesterday morning, the Rev. 11. T. Peat occupying the pulpit. The Bible classes, Sunday school children, and the organist, Mr. R. Horman, participated. The large congregation included the mayor of Lower Hutt, Mr. Andrews, and Mrs. Andrews, and n number of councillors and their wives. As it was Youth Sunday, members of the Methodist Scout Troop, and u number of rovers, attended, accompanied by Commissioner J. E. F. Vogel, the commissioner for Thames, Commissioner E. Southon, Cub-Mistresses I. Buck and J. Clark, Scoutmasters. K. Buck and J. Maunder, and Cubmaster B. Hawke. This was the second observance of Youth Sunday, which was recently inaugurated. Appropriate . services were held in churches throughout the Hutt Valley and the eastern bays, members of youth organizations and scout troops participating. Youth Sunday will be observed on the fourth Sunday of each month, the Ministers Fraternal being responsible for the arrangements.
