Gold.—£7/8/11 an ounce, fine. Silver. —Spot, 20d. an ounce; forward, 1911-10 d. On New Zealand Currency Basis The Bank of New South Wales, Wellington, quoted the following rates for their purchases and sales of foreign exchange on Saturday:— New Zealand Buying. Selling.
The Associateu Banks (other than the Bank of New South Wales) quoted the following dollar rates on Saturday, on a New Zealand currency oasis. They are subject to alteration without notice
Bulolo Gold Production Bulolo Gold Dredging Ltd. reports that for the month of February the total gross production amounted to 14,8480 z. of bullion containing 10,2460 z. of fine gold from 1.136.000 cubic yards. Estimated working profit. 72430 z. of fine gold. The above production is equivaletil Io £89.052 and working profit to £63.376 on the basts ol £B/15/- (Australian) a fine ounce of gold. Martha Operations The ‘ following information has been cabled to London from the Martha Mine, Waihi: —For the period ended March 11, comprising twenty-two crushing days, 16,297 tons of ore were crushed for a result of -1592 fine ounces of gold and 29.427 fine ounces of silver. Number 3 level: K branch lode. Driving cast oi Lovett south crosscut, the next 14 feet is ore of good grade, based on a stoping width of five feet. Driving west, the next 11 feet is not payable.
