Letter From English Folk Association A welcome to Captain W. H. Hartman and the new Shaw, Savill motorship Dominion. Monarch, due at Wellington this: morning, is conveyed ii a letter from the English Folk Association, Wellington. The letter is addressed to Captain Hartman and signed by Mr. Karl Atkinson, chairman of the association.. It reads as follows: — “On behalf of tjie English Folk Association, might I extend a hearty welcome to you and to the officers and crew of the Dominion Monarch to New Zealand. Our association exists for the purpose of maintaining a patriotic attachment to England, and promoting good fellowship among English folk in New Zealand. We initiated the celebration of St. George's (England’s) Day some years ago, and made that the focal point of the active co-opera-tion in several directions between all the various English county societies here. It is, therefore, with the profoundest interest that our numerous members look forward to so important an event as the arrival of your beautiful ship from England. May this link with the Motherland be long maintained, and may the Shaw, Savill Company, which 'brought so many of us to our adopted home, enjoy the prosperity merited by this latest enterp rise. ’ *
