Paris Ideas lor Spring
LONDON, March 3. r FHE face of a clock decorating the "*■ round, flat crown of a hat is one of the newest ideas for the spring seen in Paris. The hat, which is in black, consists of a round plate-like piece of felt held to the head by a band of ribbon. Clock figures and the hands are embroidered in thick white thread. The hands show 11.15 to be the time. Blouses make important fashion news. Paris is using natural coloured chamois leather—just like that used for cleaning silver —for blouses to go with sports suits. They are finished with big matching buttons, and have short, gathered sleeves. 'Die result Is ■both amusing and- attractive. Other blouses take their inspiration from jockeys’ shirts. There is one half in rose satin and half in violet. Another in pale yellow crepe has a rolled collar in brown, while a wide band of brown goes -diagonally across- the blouse from top to bottom.
