Opportunity Shop

New Move by Charitable Organisations

LONDON, March 3. AN “Opportunity Shop” has just been opened in London by a group of well-known charity organizers, and the proceeds will be devoted to the National Children’s Adoption’ Association, the London Hospital, the Marie Curie Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children and the National Birthday Trust Fund, which needs extension of maternity funds. Attractive furnishings, decorations and fitments in the shop have -been presented and so the organization has not had to pay for anything of this kind. The idea is not to beg for money but to ask for new or used dresses, underwear, handbags, hats, shoes, furniture, glass, books, and so forth. Women are asked, when sending their parcels, to attach labels indicating which of the above organizations they wish to benefit by the sale iu the shop.
