STOKES VALLEY LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Beautiful floral decorations were a feature of the last meeting of the Stokes Valley League of Mothers. Choice gladioli and colourful hydrangeas, with masses of fernery, decorated the stage and the walls of the hall, and excited the admiration of everyone present.
As this was the first reunion after the three months’ vacation, the meeting took the form of a social afternoon, the president, Mrs. Lowe, extending . a warm welcome to all and expressing the hope that members would thoroughly enjoy tlie coming meetings. Mrs. Gillies and Mrs. Johnston entertained with several songs. Mrs. Lowe accompanying. Some amusing competitions were held and greatly enjoyed. Mrs. Harrison gave the thought for the month.
