Sydney Housewives Asked Not To Use Potatoes SYDNEY, (March 23. Following a rise in the wholesale price of potatoes to £23 a ton, the president of the Housewives’ Association has appealed to the public not to use potatoes for a fortnight. Another protest meeting will be held in the Sydney Town Hall on Monday night to protest against famine prices of food. The police have given permission. for a procession through the city streets to the Town Hall.
