Wairarapa Nominations.
Nominations for the Easter meeting of the Wairarapa Racing Club, to be held on Saturday and Monday, April 8 and-10, will close on Monday at 8 p.m. with the secretary, Mr. N. C. C. Shepherd, telephone 26, Featherston. The Featherston telegraph office closes at 5 p.m. C.J.C. Acceptances.
Acceptances for the C.J.C. Great Easter and Autumn Handicap, first forfeits tor the Champagne and Challenge Stakes, and general entries for the meeting, will close today at 5 p.m. with the secretary, Mr. F. T. H. Bell, P.O. Box 385, Christchurch (telegrams, “Turf,” Christchurch). A Fresh Start. The former Risearton trainer R. W. King is now established in Oarnaru, and produced his first horse in New Zealand for some years at Waimate on Saturday. This was the three-year-old Twenty Grand, by Koomeela, owned by Mr. G. R. Hunter, of Oarnaru.
