Prince Edward Learns His ABC (“Dominion” Special Service By Airmail.) LONDON, March 3. Prince Edward, three-year-old son of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, Is starting to learn his ABC. He is using the same book as that, used by hundreds of children in Britain’s council schools—the “Fairy Queen Alphabet.” The Duke of Kent himself reads and explains it to his son. The Duke made a shopping expedition in the West End recently and bought a number of instructive games and picture-books so that the education of Prince Edward could begin in earnest. They include the “Zoo Book” and another showing bow to tell the time. The Prince is learning to count on an abacus, a frame with coloured beads. His mother is now looking out for a qualified nursery-governess to accompany the Royal household to Australia in the autumn, when the Duke will begin his five-years term of office as Governor-General.
