ANGLO-INDIAN TRADE PACT
Cotton Industry To Benefit
(Received March 21, 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 21. A trade agreement between Britain and India has been concluded. It is operable for three years and will benefit the Lancashire cotton industry. India lowers the duties on British cotton goods in the first year from 20 to 15 per cent. Duties in subsequent years will depend on the volume of exports. Ottawa preferences have been generally continued.
