Assisted Immigrants From “The Dominion,” March 25, 1914. Out of tlie 396 passengers which the R.M.S. Alhenie brings to Wellington from London this evening, 341 are third-class. These comprise 204 assisted immigrants, made up as follows Domestics, liii-iu labourers, 40; and relations. Hi. The vessel will probably not berth till tomorrow morning. Another large contingent of immigrants is coming by tin? Kemuera. which arrives here on April 6 This vessel is bringing 130 “assisteils," made up as follows: Domestics. Jil: farm labourers, 17; and relations. 32.

The German papers have received the (innonneenient of the British naval construction programme placidly, but several of the newspapers strongly comment on the prospects of an armed trading fleet,, averring that it will bring back International piracy.
