LONDON, March 20. A catalogue of 7600 hales was offered at the wool sales today, ineluding .1348 bales of New Zealand, and 6450 bales were sold. The selection was fairly good and met a keen demand. Values generally were well maintained. New Zealand crossbreds, greasy, lahaua.” made 9d. average, top price lOd. “Mangakino" sold at lOd. Scoured “Whakatu” realized an average of lljd., top price 13{d. The Bradford tops market is hrm and unchanged. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents dated March 20: —The auctions are proceeding at the level of the opening day. Catalogues arc being well cleared, witl; keen competition, mainly from the Home trade. The following prices are current: —

Mount Morgan Surplus The estimated working surplus of Mount Morgan, Limited (Queensland), for the four weeks ended February 22, based on published production figure*, was £12.799. The value of production, less the cost of realisation, was £56,412, and estimated operating costs, including over-burden removal, were £43,613. Other expenditure included overhead, £2600, and capital £11,140. The report points out that the estimates do not include any provision for depreciation. Gold Mining Returns The Argo dredge for the week ended March IS returned 51oz. for 124 hours from 10,000 yards.
