More Wool Sold This Season INCREASED EXPORTS A "-ood clearance of wool is being made •it the rotter sales this season. During February a total of 154,406 bales was offered at Invercargill, Dunedin. Timaru, Christchurch, Wellington. Wanganui, Napier and Auckland. 152.208 bales being For the eight months of the 1938-39 season to February 28. according to the returns compiled by Dalgety and Co., Ltd., 415,633 bales were offered and 402,756 bales*were sold as compared with 447,179 bales offered and 385,922 bales sold' during the corresponding period of last seasoii, Thus, while the offerings this season show a decrease of 31,546 bales, the actual sales are higher by 16,534 bales. Details of the offerings and sales for the eight months’ period of this season and last season compare as follows: —

Shipments of wool from New Zealand during February totalled 160,023 bales, of which 147,173 bales were greasy wool and 12,850 bales slipe. A substantial increase is shown in the exports of wool for the eight mouths of this season, which total 451,493 bales, as compared with 389,816 bales for the corresponding period of lust season, an increase of 61.677 bales. Details are as follows:—
