STAFF DISMISSALS
Comment By Mr. Savage Reference to the report that casual employees of the Employment Division of the Labour Department had been dismissed because of the absorption of the division by the Social Security Department was made yesterday by the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage. "This is one of the tilings we will deal with,” said Mr. Savage. "We do not want men working for the sake of working when there is nothing for them to do. If they are not needed we will have to make provision for them somewhere else.”
