Visitors to Wellington Mrs. P. de Launay, Eltliam, is visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Lockyer and Miss Gwen Russell, Napier, are on a visit to 'Wellington. Miss Mary MacDonald, Christchurch, is the guest of Miss Eileen Cummings, Kelburn, Wellington. Miss Hilda Fancourt, Parnell, Auckland, has arrived at Wellington on a 10 day’s visit. Miss Patricia Lewer. Palmerston North, is on a visit to Wellington. Arrived From Abroad Mrs. Walter E. Tweedie, accompanied by her daughter June, Glen Alice, New South Wales, is visiting New Zealand to see her sister, Mrs. F. C. Brown, Onepu Road, Lyall Bay, Wellington. Going Abroad Miss Winifred Tonkin, Hastings, will leave today for Wellington, from where she will sail by the Maetsuycker tomorrow for Ipoh, Malay States, to visit Mrs. G. Sampson and Mrs. S. Edgar, who were formerly the Misses Ryan of Hastings. Mrs. William Pete and Miss Florence Paul, Wanganui, will leave New Zealand shortly hy the Dominion Monarch for a visit to Great Britain. Miss Mary Rainbow, Hastings, will sail early in April for England, where her marriage will take place. On Holiday Sir William and Lady Perry, Masterton, are spending a holiday at Taupo. Miss J. Burdekin, Wellington, is on a visit to her grandmother, Mrs. A. G. Pease, Eltham. Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Franklih, Hastings, are visiting Wanganui. Miss Joyce Beale, Wellington, is the guest of Miss Wilson, St. Mary’s School, Stratford. Mrs. J. A. Gilmour and Mrs. C. W. Hanning, "Wellington, left by the Awatea yesterday on a holiday visit to Auckland. Returned Home Miss Joan A. Court, who has been on an extended, holiday visit to her grandmother, Mrs. Robjohns, Napier, has returned to Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. George Macdonald, Lowry Hills, Cheviot, who visited Wellington for the races, returned to Canterbury on Sunday. After visiting Nelson and Blenheim Sister W. Pinkerton, Bannister Street, Masterton, arrived at Wellington yesterday morning by the Cook Strait Airway’s plane and later went to Masteron by rail-car. Mrs. John Duncan, Heretaunga, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs. Percy Baldwin, Palmerston North, has returned home.
Mrs. J. E. Campbell, mayoress of Hawera, who has been attending the municipal conference in Dunedin with her husband, returned home yesterday. Mrs. Bruce Douglas, Glenesk, Canterbury, who visited Wellington for the Trentham races, will return home today. Mr. and Mrs. D. Davidson, Kent, England, who have been touring New Zealand for the past two. months, left on Saturday from Auckland on their return home. Miss Barbara Landells, Hastings, Mrs. Davidson’s niece, accompanied them.
