OBITUARY
Mrs. M. M. North The death occurred in Rotorua on Sunday of a well-known .Hawke’s Bay resident. Airs. Alaria Aliddleton North, Havelock North, says a “Dominion” Special Service message. Born in Otaki, Airs. North was a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Hewson. Following her marriage to Air. William Lowry North, she settled in Havelock North. She was predeceased by her busband 15 years ago, and leaves one son, Air. Ford North:, Auckland. A special service will be conducted in St. Luke’s Church, Havelock North, at 10.15 a.m. today. Mr. P. H. Burr The death occurred yesterday morning of a well-known citizen of Hastings, Air. Patrick Harvey Burr, a son of the late Mr. and. Airs. Burr, Hokianga. Born in Wanganui, Air. Burr spent his early days in the Hokianga district. After studying law following a move to Palmerston North, Mr. Burr took up school-teaching, and for a number of years was headmaster of Te Hauki Native Alission School, for which position he resigned to join the staff of Nelsons (N.Z.), Ltd. The shock of the 1931 earthquake undermined his health, however, and a fe.w months after he retired. Since then his condition had not improved, and lately became much more serious. Mrs. 11. F. The death has occurred of Mrs. Helen Fergusson Laurenson. widow of Air. George Laurenson. M.P. for Lyttelton for several years till he died in 1913. says a Press Association telegram from Christchurch. Mrs. Laurenson was a daughter of Mr. Janies Tait, Christchurch. Site is survived by two sons and fiv4 daughters, .Messrs. G. L. Laurenson, Commissioner of Transport, and Dr. J. T. Laurenson and Alisses F. J. and Al. Laurenson, Christchurch, Airs. W. A.
