Hokl-up In Kaiapoi Freezing Works ADJUSTMENT OF CHAIN AGREED TO By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. March 20. After a hold-up for tlii'ee days, killing at the Kaiapoi works of the North Canterbury Sheepfarmers’ Co-operative Freezing Company will be resumed tomorrow morning. Further discussions on the working of the chain took place today between officials of the Labour Department, the company and employees. and agreement was reached. So that n settlement could be reached, the company gave way on a point connected with the lay-out of the chain. The agreement involved an adjustment of the chain; this has been carried- out, work being delayed till tomorrow. Other departments at the Kaiapoi works were normal today. A report that a Government representative was to visit Kaiapoi from Wellington to intervene and endeavour to settle the dispute was denied today.
