SWEPT OFF ROCKS
Fisherman Drowned Bv Telegraph — Dress Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, March 19. Swept off the rocks at. the mouth of the Oakurtt River while gathering mussels for bait, .Mr. Henry Sears, married, about 37, was drowned this afternoon Striking a rock when lie fell, Mr. Sears was apparently knocked unconscious and was not noticed for several minutes. Rescuscitation efforts by several life-saver s arnd Dr. F. W. W. Dawson, Taranaki medical officer of health, proved unavailing after an hour and a half.
