FALL INTO SEA
Yachtsman Drowned
BODY NOT’ RECOVERED By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 19. Falling overboard from the yacht Sett Queen at Lyttelton about 4 p.m. yesterday, Clarence Adams, aged 23. Christchurch, was drowned. The Sea Queen was being sailed by Mr. J. G. Evans, he and Mr. Adams being the only two on board. Mr. Evans sent Mr. Adams forward to adjust some gear, but did not see him go overboard. He missed Mr. Adams after about half a minute, and. looking back, saw him in the water about 50 yards away. Mr. Evans put the yacht about, but befoie he reached Mr. Adams the latter bad disappeared. A fresh north-easteily breeze was blowing at the time ami a moderate sea was'runiiing. The police searched for the body in launches yesterday and today without result.
