Nearing End Of Summer Season MANY FINALS TO BE PLAYED The final day of the Wellington Racing Club's autumn meeting at Treutbam will be one of today’s main sporting attractions. . ’ , Association Cricket. The Wellington Cricket Association’s senior knock-out competition will ; be continued, when the following matches will be completed:—Kilbirnic 148 v. Karon 114, at the Basin Reserve, No. 2 wicket; University 209 v. Midland 102 tor uo wickets, at the Basin Reserve, No. 1 wicket; Institute 123 and for lour wiekets v. Wellington College Old Boys 51, at Kilbirnie Reserve; Hutt 1-8 v. Wellington IS9 for nine wickets, at the Hutt Recreation Ground.
Mercantile Cricket.
The second last round of the Wellington Mercantile Cricket League’s competitions will be played today. The senior grade draw is:—Amalgamated Bricks v. Working Men’s. Club, Newtown No. 1; Hannahs v. Prestige, Wakefield No. b; Customs Agents v. Taubmans, Newtown No. 7; Woolworths v. Taxes, Athletic No. 1; Jasco v. Harbour Board, Athletic No. 2. Hutt Valley Cricket. The, Hutt Valley Cricket Association’s competition matches will be continued today. The senior draw is:—Eastbourne v. Empire, North Park No. 2; Trafalgar Park A v. Bell Park, Bell Park ; Trafalgar Park B v. Stop Out, Trafalgar Park No. 1; Gear United v. Taita, Nai Nai No. 1. Bowls. The principal bowling fixtures set. down for today are the finals of the Wellington Bowling Centre’s pennant and junior pennant competitions and the final of the returned soldiers' annual tournament. All are set down to be played at Kelburn green. Athletics. The Victoria College iuter-faeuffy athletic meeting will take place at Kelburn Park. A meeting will also be held at Hataitai Park. Yachting. Events for all classes will be held today by the Evans Bay and Port Nicholson clubs. Baseball. The last qualifying round of the baseball knock-out competition will be played today. ‘ Golf. Weekend golf fixtures include: —Karon club, medal round; Tui Glen, stableford ; Shandon, medal round; Manor Park, final of Summer Cup.
