RING STOLEN BY MARRIED WOMAN
A married woman whose name was suppressed pleaded guilty to the theft in Lower Hutt in Yltry, 1938, of a ring valued at £5. She was admitted to probation for If! months.
Detective-Sergeant. P. Doyle said that the woman bad stolen the ring and pawned it for 10/-, which she used to buy groceries. She had two children. Accused was willing to make restitution.
