Guild Afternoon.
Mesdames E. E. bage, O. bilbery ana F. Bryant were hostesses recently at a “pound” afternoon held in aid of the funds of the Methodist Women’s Guild at the Parsonage, Petone. Mrs. Millward sang, with Mrs. Pallister as accompanist, and Mrs. Sage read a play excerpt. Scout Card Evening. The prize-winner,at the card evening held at the Scout Hall, Lower Hutt, recently in ai<l of scout hinds were Mrs. W. Mair and Mr. Layloek, 1; Mrs. Brownlee and Mr. Proebstel, 2. Travelling prizes, which were won by Mrs. Mills and »Mr. Wiggins, were given by Mrs. Larsen.
