The use of fur on top coats is much more restrained than lust season’s. Fur collars are not so large, and often there is no fur collar at all, but fur trimmings in nil sorts of unexpected places. One of the smartest styles of all is the black eoat, very lilting, with a small standing collar of black lamb, with a narrow strip of fur straight down the front and no belt. Another smart style with a military air about it is of sapphire woollen, made with a fitted top attached to a gored skirt and firmly belted with blue leather. Double triangular pockets trim the fronts, and the collar is a grey lamb Peter Pan. A coat of the wrap-round type is of black angora, with an indistinct diagonal rib. The back is smart with triangular lucking. There is no collar, but two lovely revers of silver fox spring from high on -the shoulders to fall like a cascade of silky softness to the waistline.
