CHIEF POSTMASTER TO RETIRE

Mr. W. G. Cooper, Auckland

By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 16. After two years as chief postmaster in Auckland irnd 40 years’ service in the Post and Telegraph Department, Mr. W. G. Cooper is to retire on superannuation. He will beglu his annual leave on April 1 and this will be followed by three months’ retiring leave. One of the most popular officers who has filled the position of chief postmaster in Auckland, Mr. Cooper joined the service in Helensville in 1899.
