CIRCUS AND ZOO

Heading an outstanding array of talent when the circus of Perry Brothers opens at the AVinter Show Building on Wednesday, March 22, will be the Flying Dunbars, who will perform sensational acts 40 feet up in the “big top.” Supporting their act will be Madam Danada, the only woman tiger trainer in the world; Professor Leon, and his performing sheep; the -Moore Sisters, whirlwind Trampoline marvels; Deloria Silbini, contortionist extraordinary; Hector Hill and his troupe of performing dogs; and the Roberdillas, the only wire-walkers ever to attempt forward and backward somersaults on a tight, wire. As well, there will be displays by acrobats, tumblers, spring-board artists, women and gentlemen riders. The animals of the circus eompriwe 25 beautiful horses and ponies, lions, tigers, bears, baboons, monkeys, leopards, jaguars, elephants, and the world’s two great mystery animals, a mandrill, the only one in Australasia, and a black leopard cub, the only known leopard to ever change its spots. No circus would be complete without its clowns, and Perry Brothers’ will have the funniest and merriest clowns to come to^ Wellington for a long time. There will be matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The zoo will be open daily so that people will be able to see the feeding of the animals.
