Visitors to Wellington Miss Jean Gillies, North Auckland, is visiting her aunt, Miss Mary Me-. Lean, 5G Mulgrave Street, Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon White, Takapuna, Auckland, and Miss Maisie White, Hastings, are visiting Wellington. Mrs. H. W. Dowling and her small daughter, Naifier, are spending a short holiday as the guests of Mrs. M. Nolan, Lower Hutt. On Holiday Miss Amy Kane, Wellington, is Visiting Rotorua and will not be returning to Wellington before the end of the month. Mrs. Nisbet D. Smith, New Plymouth, is sending a holiday at Invercargill as the guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Cyril Hart. Mrs. Robin Bell, Roundaway, Waipawa, is spending a w’eek in Hastings with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Rochfort. Mrs. Fountaine, Norfolk, England, who recently came from England to Australia by plane, has been the guest of her mother, Lady McLean, Napier, and is now spending a short holiday in the South Island. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mac Niven are Hastings visitors to ’Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Riordan are Auckland visitors to Wellington for the races and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. F. O’Reilly, Ennismore, Boulcott Street.
Miss Kathleen Wells, Lower Hutt, has been visiting Masterton. Mrs. W. Gray, Albert Street, Masterton, is spending a holiday at Castlepoint.
Mr. and Mrs. T. Hume, Wairarapa, have been visiting Wanganui. Mrs. Ledley, Masterton, is a visitor to Castlepoint. Mrs. J. A.- Wells, Coradine Street, Masterton, was a recent visitor to Wellington. Mrs. C. Bensemen, Greytown, is visiting Napier. ■ Miss Jean Stewart, • Palmerston North, is visiting Masterton. Mrs. W. E. Davies, Pongaroa, is the guest of Mrs. Henry Major, Masterton. Mrs. Moore is a Rangitikei visitor to Masterton, where she is the guest of Mrs. O. H. Beetham, Morland. Returned Home Mrs. Harold Davies, Fitzroy Avenue, Hastings, who has been visiting Wellington and Nelson, has returned home. 1 Going Abroad Mrs. William Pete and Miss Florence Paul, Wanganui, will leave by the Dominion Monarch on April 26 for a visit to Great Britain. Mrs. E. Dickie, Sydney, who has been visiting the Dominion for the past month, arrived at Wellington from Christchurch yesterday morning and left by the Wanganella later in the day on her return home.
Miss Dorothy Johnston, Wellington, has left on an extended visit to England.
On Holiday
Mrs. Nell Smith, Wanganui, left yesterday by plane for Auckland to meet Miss Bathie Stuart on her arrival from America by the Mariposa. Miss Stuart, who will make a brief holiday visit to Wellington, will be a hostess at the New York Exposition. Mrs. Brian Rudman, Oriental Bay, Wellington, is visiting her mother, Mrs. B. C. Chilwell, St. Heller’s Bay, Auckland. Miss Daphne Allan, Upper Plain, Masterton, was a passenger to England by the Rangitiki. Miss Allan expects to be absent from New Zealand for two years, furthering her nursing studies. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Burridge, Lansdowne, Masterton, will leave next month on an extended holiday abroad. Mr. and Mrs. A. Corskie, Masterton, will leave shortly for England and will be absent about six months. Returned To Wellington Mrs. Hugh McGill, Eastbourne, Wellington, has returned after spending a holiday in Auckland and Hamilton.
